Chapter 134

1

1 A song of ascents. 2 Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD Who stand in the house of the LORD through the long hours of night.

2

Lift up your hands toward the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

3

May the LORD who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion.

1 [Psalm 134] A brief liturgy exhorting the temple singers to acknowledge the great deeds of God at a night service (cf Isaiah 30:29). Mount Zion is the place from which blessings affect the lives of humans, for there Israel's God dwells.

2 [1] Servants of the LORD: priests and Levites. Cf Deut 10:8; Psalm 113:1; 135:1; Azariah 1:62-63.
