This part which includes the other space
on the map where Tommasi Ferroni was able
to construct a symbolic sketch.
The female wolf of the Capitoline
represents the fifth scene opening to the
city which is symbolically represented by
the "new entrance" of Fiumicino
airport. The colosseum now in
restauration is recognizable as is the
Pantheon, the synagoghue, the Mosque, the
Basilica of St. Paul outside the Walls,
the new Auditorium, the "prophyleum
of Villa Borghese, the Villa Farnese on
the Lungara the the Vatican Library.
Closing the composition is Castel
Gandolfo, the summer residence of the Holy
Father. What really characterizes
the composition is the chaotic traffic of
Rome today!
