"AND YOU WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?"

CHRIST IS THE ENCOUNTER WITH A TRUTH THAT KNOWS NO DECLINE

Pietro De Lucia

To this question we could devote enough pages to fill a book, but in the end, we would discover the universe which is contained in each one of us. I believe, in my modest opinion, that there are as many answers as there are people to whom Christ revealed himself.

Each answer is different, just as fingerprints are different: they make us unique just as the encounter each one of us has with Jesus who is the Life is unique. Yes, Jesus is the Life because he came for the life of each person, and there is Life only in Him. If we really know how to offer our daily sufferings to him, He can transform them because he takes them upon the cross.

I stopped taking drugs without any help. Without any help from people is what I mean. I shut myself in a room and said the rosary. Then when I was feeling really bad and banging my head against the wall with the pain, the rosary obviously helped me. You might not believe me, but that was the way it was.

The cross is the way of salvation and He is the cross on which we should hang all our forms of egoism, arrivisme and all the negative ...isms with attract us to the false goals that are presented to us as forms of happiness. He is the Truth. Yes, Jesus is the Truth for which a tribute of blood has always been paid in the world; but he is also that Truth that will never pass away, to the end of the world, because a world without truth cannot live well and in peace. This is why I am convinced that the sign by which we will recognize that the end of the world has come will be this: when there is no longer anyone willing to give their life for the truth.
