EXTRAORDINARY DONATION FROM THE NAT. DIR. OF THE PMS IN FRANCE

We have received a special donation from the national direction of the PMS in France, thanks to an awareness-raising campaign conducted by the director Fr. Emmanuel Lafont. The campaign was prompted by the lack of funds noted at the PMS General Assembly of May 2000, which meant that many children could not be given the aid of which they had such need. The response from the children of France was not slow in coming and by the November 2000 session we already had an extra US$ 400,000 which served to buy food, medicine, clothing and teaching materials for street children, orphans in 10 countries: Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Rwanda, Zambia, Jamaica, India and the Cook Islands.

 To them, and to the many other children in other parts of the world who generously contribute to the Universal Solidarity Fund of the Missionary Childhood, we say: Thank-you!

Lord Jesus,
I am just beginning to live
And already You are calling me to a mission.

You well know, Lord, that I have nothing,
Only a desire to serve You.
Give me wisdom, Your love, Your peace, And a great heart
To love the whole world.

I know, Lord, that I can do nothing,
But with You I will be able to do much. Lord, millions of children do not know You And, for that reason, are not content.

I offer You my whole life and place myself in Your hands.
Fill me with courage,
With sincerity and responsibility
towards my brothers.

Lord, I know You are listening to me And that You accompany me always.

I just want Your name
To be known throughout the universe,
And Your Kingdom of Love
To grow ever more. Amen.
