The Thirtieth Anniversary of the Foundation of the Pontifical Council "Cor Unum"

This most recent publication of the Pontifical Council "Cor Unum" serves to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of the Dicastery.  It presents a compilation of the papal documents and allocutions, which establish and direct its action and initiatives, as well as summaries of the purpose and work of the Pontifical Foundations John Paul II for the Sahel and Populorum Progressio.  Additionally, it provides an historical overview of "Cor Unum" and a brief lexicon of key biblical-theological concepts regarding the various expressions of charity, which serves to emphasize that the Church's charitable mission may not be reduced to mere philanthropic work.  The publication is currently available in Italian and Spanish.  The English and French versions will be released in the near future.
