Lors de l'Assemblée Plénière du Conseil Pontifical de la Culture, qui s'est tenue au Vatican, du 15 au 18 mars 1994, les participants ont réfléchi sur la signification et l'identité du nouveau Dicastère, tel qu'il a été institué par le Motu Proprio «Inde a Pontificatus» du 25 mars 1993. Ils ont également examiné les résultats de l'enquête lancée par l'ancien Conseil Pontifical pour le Dialogue avec les Non-Croyants, sur le thème: «Dire Dieu à l'Homme d'aujourd'hui». Enfin, ils ont centré leur réflexion sur les relations entre foi et culture. Dans la section Documenta, nous publions le discours du Saint-Père à l'Assemblée Plénière, ainsi que les discours de Son Éminence le Cardinal Paul Poupard. Sous le titre Relationes, nous offrons à nos lecteurs une première sélection des contributions présentées à l'Assemblée Plénière. Une autre série de contributions sera publiée dans le prochain fascicule de Cultures et Foi.

At the Plenary Assembly of the Pontifical Council for Culture, held in Rome from the 15th to the 18th of March 1994, the participants reflected on the significance and identity of the re-founded Dicastery, as instituted by the Motu Proprio «Inde a Pontificatus» of March 1993. They also considered the results of the research project, initiated by the previous Pontifical Council for Dialogue with Non-Believers, on the theme of «Speaking of God to People Today». Finally, they devoted attention to the theme of the relationship between faith and culture. In the Documenta section here we publish the speech of the Holy Father to the Plenary Assembly together with the speeches of His Eminence Cardinal Paul Poupard. Under the heading of Relationes we offer our readers an initial selection of the other contributions at the Plenary Assembly. Other such texts will be published in the next issue of Cultures and Faith.

Durante la Asamblea Plenaria del Consejo Pontifico de la Cultura que se reunió en Roma del 15 al 18 de marzo de 1994, los participantes consideraron el significado y la identidad de la reestructuración del Dicasterio, como lo mandó el Motu Proprio «Inde ad Pontificatus» del mes de marzo de 1993. Reflexionaron también sobre los resultados del proyecto de investigación, que inició el anterior Consejo Pontificio para el diálogo con los no-creyentes, sobre el tema: «Hablar de Dios al hombre de hoy». Finalmente se detuvieron a analizar el tema de las relaciones afines entre la fe y la cultura. En la Sección Documenta publicamos el discurso del Santo Padre a la Asamblea Plenaria juntamente con las palabras pronunciadas por Su Eminencia el Cardenal Paul Poupard. Bajo el títul o de Relationes ofrecemos a nuestros lectores una primera selección de algunos de los aportes presentados a la Asamblea Plenaria.
