NOTE FROM THE SECRETARY OF STATE
CONCERNING THE NEW DISPOSITIONS
BY THE HOLY FATHER BENEDICT XVI
FOR THE LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS OF GOOD FRIDAY

Referring to the measures contained in the Motu proprio "Summorum Pontificum", of 7 July 2007, about the possibility of using the last edition of the Missale Romanum, prior to the Second Vatican Council, published in 1962 with the authority of Bl. John XXIII, the Holy Father Benedict XVI has disposed that the Oremus et pro Iudaeis of the Liturgy of Good Friday contained in the above-mentioned Missale Romanum be substituted with the following text:

Amen.

This text will be used, beginning this year, in all the Liturgical celebrations of Good Friday with the above-cited Missale Romanum.

From the Vatican, 4 February 2008.
