Vatican Telephone Cards - Information

In December 1992 the Vatican State started issuing telephone cards which may be used within the Vatican City and within the extraterritorial zones linked to the Vatican central telephone exchange.

The Vatican Telephone Service - as part of the "Technical Services General Management" - is responsible for the production and sales of these telephone cards.

Each issue is marked by a number. Thus far there have been 44 issued, numbered from 0 to 43. The cards are sold either directly or by post until sold out.
One can no longer acquire sold-out cards via the Vatican Telephone Service but only via private vendors or collectorsi. The issues available are indicated on the Order Form .
An information bulletin called CAR TEL VAT is sent to every mail order client with information about the new issues.
