will be among 1.2 and 1.5 million

representing 160
Countries

There will be more than 150.000 non-Italian young people, which, from 10 to the 14 August will stay in 200 Italian Dioceses, as a significant and important experience of twinning. On August 14 and 15 these 150.000 young people will arrive in Rome, together with 100.000 Italian young people, who hosted them in their dioceses. In the meantime another 100.000 young people will arrive in Rome just in time for the beginning of the XV World Youth Day.

At the opening celebration 500.000 young people are expected to participate, which should increase to 800.000 during the 3 days of Catechesis, of the Jubilee Pilgrimage and of the “Incontragiovani” (August 16-18).
