Wednesday, October 19th at 7:15 p.m., the film Saint Peter, by the director Giulio Base, will be shown in the Synod Hall.

This is an homage from Dr. Ettore Bernabei, the President of Lux Vide, Member of the Administrative Council of the Vatican Television Center, in the honor of the Synod Fathers. He wished to show this movie to them before the RAI, which will be broadcasting it in a few weeks.

This viewing concurs, in the climate of the Synod on the Eucharist, in illuminating the Church, which, born and nurtured by the Eucharist, is blessed with the ministry of Peter and the successors of the Apostles, as pastors and guarantors of the unity of the people of the new Covenant, sanctioned in the Body and Blood of the Lord, died, risen and raised into the glory of the Father.

The Holy Father Benedict XVI, the 265th Successor of Saint Peter, is also the President of the Synod of Bishops.
