Mister Ambassador,
We thank you cordially for Your
Excellency’s kind words, and for the greetings you convey to Us from the
President and people of the Republic of Kenya.
Kindly convey to them Our prayerful

The Church appreciates the liberty she
enjoys in Kenya, and hopes to continue to experience the sympathy and support of
the civil authorities in her efforts to contribute towards the moral, religious,
social and educational well-being of the Nation. The Catholics of Kenya will
ever prove to be loyal and law-abiding citizens, eager to give full support to
all programmes intended for the advancement of their fatherland.

to cooperate with you in reinforcing the ties of friendship and loyal
collaboration between this Holy See and the Republic of Kenya; and We promise
you Our understanding and benevolent assistance in the fulfilment of your high
