False Mysticism and Spiritual Abuse

On 22 November 2024, Pope Francis approved the creation of a Working Group on Spiritual Abuse aimed at classifying it as a delict.

At the same time, he appointed His Excellency, the Most Reverend Filippo IANNONE, O.Carm., Prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts, to chair the group.

This group is working fruitfully, and in view of this, I respectfully propose that His Excellency, the Most Reverend Iannone, O.Carm., be confirmed as head of this team.
