To the Ngwenyama
His Majesty Sobuzha II
King of Swaziland

To your Majesty and to your noble people We send heartfelt greetings and good wishes on the auspicious occasion of the accession to independence of Swaziland, giving assurance of Our fervent prayers for the welfare and continued progress of your beloved country.

Your Majesty may be confident of the loyalty of the Catholic citizens of Swaziland to their country and of their generous readiness to abide by its laws. The Catholic Church will continue with even greater dedication her mission of social and cultural formation and of advancement of education and religion, asking in return the liberty of devoting herself unsparingly to the good of the people of Swaziland.

We gladly invoke upon Your Majesty, upon your Government, and upon all the citizens of Swaziland, the richest favours of the Almighty, that He may bestow upon your nation all the blessings of prosperity, tranquillity and true peace.
