To His Excellency Mr. Albert Bernard Bongo, President of Gabon.

Mr. President, Gentlemen,

It is with great joy that We welcome you to Our house and, with you, the whole nation of Gabon, so dear to Our heart. To meet you, Mr. President, together with the distinguished persons of your suite, is a heartfelt pleasure for Us and We wish to express to you Our warmest good wishes for the future of your country.

May Almighty God pour out on you and on all your compatriots the abundance of his blessings and grant you prosperity, material and spiritual. May the Gabon nation hold its rightful place in the great family of nations and, in concert with all peoples, advance on the road of peace. These are Our cordial good wishes for you as We impart to you the Apostolic Blessing.
